Brandin Lopez joined Port of Benton this week as the Engineering and Development Manager. Lopez most recently served as a Senior Project Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS). He managed Capital Improvement Projects from design to closeout for data centers across the West Coast. Lopez brings a wealth of knowledge in planning, organizing and overseeing engineering and construction projects, including activities related to design, property acquisition, execution, city policies, codes, permitting and development standards. Born and raised in the Tri-Cities area, Lopez began his career with the City of Richland, where he served 14 years before joining AWS. While working for the city, Lopez obtained his license as a Professional Land Surveyor and provided professional engineering services to the public and city leadership. “I look forward to taking on this position and engaging with the community,” Lopez stated. “My past work in public service is what I am most proud of and appreciate the port for giving me this opportunity.” “We are proud to have Brandin join our team to support the port's projects and growth,” said Diahann Howard, PPM®, PPX®, port executive director.
