CI Information Management (CIIM), a subsidiary of Columbia Ability Alliance and a NAID AAA certified provider of Secure Information Destruction and Secure Media Destruction, today announced it has achieved ISO 27001 certification for Information Security Management Systems,[ML1] awarded by Amtivo, a globally recognized and accredited certification body. CIIM is now one of the few providers in the region to hold both NAID AAA and ISO 27001 certifications simultaneously.
ISO 27001 is the internationally recognized standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). Achieving certification confirms that every process in CIIM's operation, from scheduling and chain of custody to final destruction and Certificate of Destruction issuance, is conducted under verified, repeatable systems built to protect sensitive information at every step. "This certification gives us the verified framework to keep raising the bar for our clients," said Miracle Lewis, Divisional Manager at CI Information Management. "As businesses cycle through more technology than ever and data exposure risks continue to grow, our commitment is to be the most rigorously certified provider in our region. Our clients, and their clients, deserve to know that every document, hard drive, and device we handle meets international security standards." For CIIM's clients, ISO 27001 certification means greater confidence in HIPAA, FACTA, and GLBA compliance backed by independently audited systems, reduced liability for healthcare, legal, financial, and government organizations, and the assurance of a provider committed to continuous improvement through ongoing risk assessments, employee training, and regular audits.
