The City of Pasco invites residents to celebrate Arbor Day with a special event at Volunteer Park on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM. As part of Pasco’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and urban forestry, the celebration will feature a ceremonial tree planting and the official unveiling of the Volunteer Park Tree Walk.
Pasco is proud to be recognized as a Tree City USA community by the Arbor Day Foundation, honoring the City’s dedication to urban tree care and environmental stewardship. The new Tree Walk at Volunteer Park offers an interactive, self-guided tour highlighting the many tree species growing throughout the park. A virtual Tree Walk is also available online: Tree Walk | Pasco, WA - Official Website. Visitors can enjoy audio descriptions in English and Spanish, recorded by students from Pasco High School and Chiawana High School, to learn about the trees as they explore the space. The City encourages all residents to attend, participate in the celebration, and experience the Tree Walk firsthand. 100 attendees will also have the opportunity to take home small trees donated by McCurley Subaru.
