United Energy Workers Healthcare (UEW) is proud to announce its membership in the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce. This membership marks a significant step in UEW's ongoing commitment to providing exceptional in-home healthcare ser-vices and benefits guidance to the atomic energy worker community in the Tri-Cities region.
As a Department of Labor-approved in-home care provider, UEW has dedicated over a decade to serving EEOICPA beneficiaries, offering comprehensive care and support to those affected by radiation exposure and other occupational hazards at U.S. Department of Energy sites. The Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce membership will allow UEW to strengthen its ties with local businesses and community organizations, enhancing its ability to serve the Hanford and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) workforce. "We are thrilled to join the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce and become part of a vi-brant network of businesses and organizations dedicated to the growth and well-being of our community," said Tiki Davis, Benefit Advisor and Local Outreach Leader with United Energy Workers Healthcare. "This membership aligns with our mission to provide top-notch healthcare and support services to atomic energy workers, ensuring they receive the benefits they deserve." Since the inception of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA), workers in the state of Washington have received over $1.28 billion in compensation and benefits, highlighting the critical importance of support services for this community. The Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce is the leading voice of the business community in the Tri-Cities region. By joining the Chamber, UEW aims to collaborate with local leaders, participate in community initiatives, and contribute to the economic and social development of the region. United Energy Workers Healthcare's membership in the Chamber comes at a pivotal time as the organization prepares to host an exclusive event for the Hanford and PNNL community. This event will take place on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 11am to 2pm at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, WA, and will offer valuable information on EEOICPA benefits, compensation, and healthcare services.
