Women, Money & Power - Take Control of Your Financial Future! Bonita K Bell-Anderson, CLU, ChFC, Investor Coach/Financial Advisor
About the Session:
Calling all women - it's time to take control of your financial future! In this session, attendees will be able to understand themselves better, better understand their decision-making process, and better understand their personal approach to planning for their financial futures. Attendees will also examine how behavior can influence their financial decisions and how their formative years helped form how they approach money now. This session will delve into the many different issues and concerns surrounding women and money today including life events, communication styles, and balancing the needs of elderly parents and children. Learn from excerpts from Bonita's just-released book, Money, Mindset and the Suddenly Single – the Ultimate Guide for Divorcees and Widows, in which she explores some options on how you can proceed if you go through a divorce, or your spouse dies – the commonality is that the woman is now alone and needs to forge ahead on her own.

About the Speaker:
Bonita K Bell-Andersen, CLU, ChFC is an author, investor coach, fiduciary and financial advisor, focusing on the science of investing and financial education. In the past few years, she has focused on creating educational experiences and utilizing platforms and tools that make Nobel Prize-winning investing processes accessible to all investors and their families. The end goal is helping families transform their relationship to money and really find the purpose for their money and ultimately, their life. A highly inquisitive and engaged individual, “Bonnie” also comes from a robust background in business, finance and communications.

She is the author of “Suddenly Wealthy, Winning the Money Game”, (for divorcees and widows who suddenly have a bucket of money they don’t know what to do with) and two co-authored books “You Are a Genius” (which was an Amazon #1 International Best Seller), and “Secrets of a Stress-Free Retirement (How to Make Sure You Don’t Outlive Your Nest Egg)”. Her greatest recognition remains the gratitude of the families and businesses she has helped by assisting with their financial affairs with honesty and integrity. It is because of this that Bonita has garnered not only life-long clients, but life-long relationships with others.

She spent her formative years growing up in Spokane, WA but can truly be classified as a world traveler as she has had the opportunity to travel all over the world, including 4 years in Germany while her 1st husband was serving in the US Air Force at Ramstein Air Force Base. She is the mother of three successful daughters and frequently spends time with her ten grandchildren. Her now-husband Butch has 4 sons and thirteen grandchildren, so someone’s birthday is always popping up! (Yes, that is 23 grandchildren!)

When her schedule permits, Bonnie teaches financial and retirement planning workshops at local libraries and universities. She has “given back knowledge” as an educator since the 1980’s onward. Volunteer work with various non-profits has also always been a big part of Bonnie’s life, and she continues to contribute to community-based initiatives such as Rotary International. She is a “sometimes” golfer now, having gotten into the new craze of pickleball. She is also an avid scuba diver, enjoying adventures around the world, and now focusing her trips on coral reef restoration projects, her passion related to giving back to the world.
