For the 15th consecutive year, Benton PUD received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for Benton PUD’s 2016 comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a governmental entity and its management. The CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR. The Government Finance Officers Association is a non-profit professional association serving approximately 19,000 government finance professionals. Benton PUD serves over 53,000 customers electricity and wholesale broadband in Kennewick, Prosser, Finley, Benton City and surrounding areas in Benton County with offices located at 2721 W. 10th Avenue in Kennewick and 250 N.
