City of Kennewick Holding Community Meeting Regarding Zintel Canyon Nature Trail

The City of Kennewick is inviting the public to a Community Meeting regarding Zintel Canyon’s nature trail on Wednesday, October 24th at 5:30pm at the Kennewick Irrigation District office – 2015 S Ely St., Kennewick, WA.

Representatives from multiple City departments, along with representation from the Kennewick Irrigation District, will provide important updates on current and future project plans for the nature trail area in Zintel Canyon to include: fire mitigation; combating illegal activities; and planned improvements and enhancements to the trail.

Information will also be provided on steps homeowners can take to reduce the fire risk to their personal property and the opportunities for additional partnerships and volunteering.

The “Spirit of America Trail” through Zintel Canyon is a unique and beautiful natural area with wetland and wildlife right in the heart of the City. The trailhead is located at the southwest corner of W. 7th Ave. and S. Vancouver St.
