Gabriela Valencia, a Tri-Cities business owner, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Yakima Federal Savings and Loan Association. Valencia is the founder of ValTran Professional Translation Services, which was established in 2006. Prior to launching her own company, Gabriela received her Bachelor in Business Administration from Gonzaga University followed by roles at Columbia Industries and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) where she was promoted multiple times and received several Outstanding Performance Awards. Her company has provided translation services for PNNL, Washington State Migrant Council, Washington State University and the City of Pasco, among others. Gabriela currently resides in Kennewick with her husband and two children. She enjoys volunteering at her children’s school in various committees, as well as serving in her parish ministries. Yakima Federal was founded in Yakima in 1905 and has grown into the largest mutual savings institution in the Pacific Northwest with nearly $2 billion in assets. The Association has ten branches located throughout Central Washington.
