Lourdes Health Pediatrics has been awarded the 2018 Immunize Washington Gold status by the Washington Health Plan Partnership. The clinic was recognized for vaccinating 86 percent of their toddler patients with all recommended vaccines. This is the fourth year in a row Lourdes Pediatrics has received this award.
Additionally, Lourdes Pediatrics received Silver status for vaccinating 75% of their adolescent patients. These patients were fully immunized with the CDC recommended immunizations of 1 Tdap, 1 MCV, and HPV. These awards are given by the Washington Health Plan Partnership, the Washington State Department of Health, and the Washington State Immunization Information System. This annual, statewide award recognizes medical practices with high immunization rates on childhood and adolescent vaccines. There are three tiers for award recognition- Gold, Silver & Bronze. Both Lourdes pediatricians, Dr. Paolo de Vera and Dr. Geraldine Dizon, are dedicated advocates for the importance of maintaining immunizations. “I moved here from the Philippines, where I witnessed firsthand, children dying from complications of illnesses that we can now vaccinate and prevent” said Dr. Paolo de Vera. “Our passion in immunizations stems from the fact that we want our children to grow up with the best chance to become healthy and successful.”
