The Academy of Children’s Theatre is performing a magical production of “The Neverending Story” for two weekends in March, bringing to life the fantasy tale of the young boy Bastian and his fictional fantasy world of adventures and adversaries.
The show performs on March 22 and 29 at 7 p.m. Matinee performances are scheduled at 3 p.m. on March 23, 24, 30, and 31. Tickets are now available on line at www.academyofchildrenstheatre.org, by calling 509-943-6027, or by visiting the ACT office. Ticket prices are $16 for adults, $13 for seniors (65+) and youth (13-18), and $10 for children ages 12 and under. Playing the lead role of Bastian, the boy who is bullied and escapes to a magical world of books, is Asher Damrell, a sixth grader at Desert Hills Middle School. The play is directed by Emily Richman. A cast of 20 youth actors have been rehearsing the show since February.
