Trios Health is pleased to announce that Zhiqing Xing, MD/PhD has joined Trios as an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Xing will see patients at the Trios Care Center at Southridge - 5th Floor clinic, located at 3730 Plaza Way in Kennewick. Dr. Xing received his medical degree from Peking University Health Science Center (previous name: Beijing Medical University), the most prestigious and comprehensive Medical School in China. He completed his Orthopedic Residency training at the First Hospital of Peking University, then a visiting fellowship in Japan. After having practiced in Beijing for 2 years, Dr. Xing came to the United States and undertook further training in several renowned institutions. He had training in Orthopedic research at both the University of Tennessee - Campbell Clinic and the University of California - San Francisco. He completed clinical fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma at the University of New Mexico, Adult Reconstruction at the Virginia Commonwealth University, and Musculoskeletal Oncology at the University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center. He then joined the Faculty of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama and had practiced in the gulf coast area for more than 7 years before he moved to Tacoma Washington and practiced with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health system for 3.5 years. Dr. Xing is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a teaching Faculty member of AOTrauma North America. Dr. Xing specializes in Adult Reconstruction (hip / knee / shoulder joint replacement surgery) and Musculoskeletal Oncology, treating hip knee or shoulder arthritis, bone or soft tissue tumors, bone fractures, and fracture malunion or nonunion. Through his unique experiences, Dr. Xing has learned the vast diversity of patients' conditions, cultural differences, and individual needs. He strongly believes in individualized treatment that is tailored to each patient's condition and need.
