The Benton County Auditor’s Office is continuing an outreach effort to encourage voters to Act Early, Vote Safely as the November 3rd General Election gets closer.
Ballots for the election are mailed October 14th, while ballots for Military and Overseas voters have already gone out in the mail on Friday, September 18th.
Citizens are encouraged to check their status early to ensure they are currently registered and/or their information is up to date and correct. Voters can register to vote, check their status, and make necessary updates at www.votewa.gov.
Auditor Brenda Chilton states: “The Auditor’s Office is taking a number of measures to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 for Benton County voters. The most important thing citizens can do right now to vote safely is check their status. Making sure you are registered and that your record is up-to-date is key to ensuring your ballot is mailed to you timely and to the correct address.”
